ServiceNet’s Prospect Meadow Farm is a Finalist in the “Best of the Valley” Readers’ Poll

We are excited to announce that ServiceNet’s Prospect Meadow Farm has been selected as a finalist in the “Best of the Valley 2025” Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) category. The CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program runs from June to October and allows members to purchase a seasonal farm share, providing them with a biweekly selection of fresh, locally grown produce, eggs, one of the largest selections of log-grown shiitake mushrooms in the area, and more.  

“We are thrilled to see our CSA program recognized as a finalist,” said Shawn Robinson, Vice President of Vocational Services at ServiceNet. “The CSA is key to supporting the farm’s mission, and it allows us to strengthen our connection with the community while providing meaningful work to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We’re also proud to offer reduced-price shares to low-income families, seniors, and group homes to ensure everyone can enjoy the benefits of fresh, locally grown food.”  

Prospect Meadow Farm offers meaningful vocational training in agriculture, giving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities the opportunity to gain valuable skills and paid employment. From raising market crops to caring for animals, participants play an active role in the farm’s success.  

Prospect Meadow Farm operates three farm locations—two in Hatfield and one in Pittsfield—and the Prospect Meadow Farm Store, where customers can purchase farm-produced goods like eggs, shiitake mushrooms, and seasonal goods throughout the year. 

The “Best of the Valley” readers’ poll is the Valley Advocate’s annual publication that highlights the best businesses and services in the Pioneer Valley, as chosen by its readers. This year, ServiceNet’s Outpatient Clinics were also recognized as the winner for Best Outpatient Mental Health Clinic.
