ServiceNet Secures Funding for Technology Upgrades to Enhance Mental Health Care
ServiceNet is excited to announce that it has received $222,568 in funding from the Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services through a supplemental payment program for eligible mental health center providers enrolled in the MassHealth Program.
The funding will support a series of technology infrastructure upgrades aimed at enhancing client services at their outpatient clinics, including the launch of a new comprehensive patient portal, integration of advanced billing capabilities, and improved insurance verification processes.
ServiceNet’s long-standing use of the eHana Electronic Health Record (EHR) system will be upgraded with a state-of-the-art patient portal. This portal will offer clients secure access to a range of features designed to facilitate more seamless communication and engagement with their healthcare providers. This will include the ability for clients to message their provider with questions. Additional functionalities will include telemedicine integration, access to educational materials, and robust data security measures to ensure the protection of client information.
“The new patient portal will be a game-changer for our clients and providers alike,” said Karen Franklin, Vice President of Outpatient Services at ServiceNet. “It will not only give clients more control over their mental health care but also make it easier for them to stay connected with their treatment team. We believe this will greatly improve client outcomes by fostering more active participation in their care.”
In addition to the patient portal, the grant will support the integration of eHana’s advanced billing software, streamlining administrative tasks that currently involve some manual data entry.
ServiceNet will also implement new software to enhance the client experience by automating insurance verification and simplifying billing processes. This upgrade will make it quicker and easier for ServiceNet staff to verify client insurance coverage, reducing delays and streamlining access to care. With a more efficient system, ServiceNet can focus on providing timely mental health services while continuously improving the quality of care for clients.
