ServiceNet Recognized for Innovation in Vocational Services at MHCA Conference
ServiceNet is proud to announce that a presentation by Bruno Calouro, ServiceNet President and CEO, and Shawn Robinson, Vice President of Vocational Services, was honored with a Most Innovative Member Award at this winter’s MHCA conference in Clearwater, Florida.
MHCA is a national association of behavioral healthcare organizations focused on advancing innovation and entrepreneurship in behavioral healthcare by enhancing leadership and strategic connections.
The presentation, “Innovative Approach to Vocational Services,” was originally delivered at MHCA’s summer conference in Providence, Rhode Island, and highlighted ServiceNet’s groundbreaking vocational programming. By focusing on meaningful employment, community impact, and personal growth, ServiceNet’s model has helped individuals build independence through unique and engaging opportunities. Programs such as Prospect Meadow Farm, Skillbuilders Makerspace+, the Woodworking program, and the Rooster Cafe integrate creativity and practical skill-building, using everything from shiitake mushrooms to 3D printers to foster success.
“We’re honored to be recognized by MHCA for our approach to vocational programming,” said Bruno Calouro, President and CEO of ServiceNet. “By thinking outside the box and creating diverse opportunities, we’re not just providing jobs—we’re helping people build confidence, skills, and a meaningful path toward greater independence.”
The MHCA Innovation Awards are determined through a combined scoring process. Audience ratings from conference presentations are merged with evaluations from the MHCA Innovation Taskforce. At the end of the year, the top 10 highest-rated initiatives are reviewed and ranked by the taskforce, which then selects the most innovative MHCA members.
