The REACH early intervention program provides special services to families with children between birth and three years of age who have, or are at risk for, developmental delays. The REACH program assists parents in understanding the developmental needs of young children, and in learning ways to help their children grow. The program includes Autism Specialty Services, an intensive treatment program for families that have children with autism spectrum disorders.
Services include:
• Developmental assessments
• Service Coordination
• Home and community visits
• Community playgroups
• Resource and referral
• Coordination with medical and community services
• Parent education and training
• Parent counseling and support
Our staff includes experienced developmental specialists: educators, nurses, nutritionists, occupational and physical therapists, speech and language pathologists, social workers, and autism specialists. Services are funded through private insurance, Medicaid, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, the Hampshire Community United Way, and an annual participation fee from families.
REACH provides serves to infants and toddlers (to age 3) and their families residing in Hampshire and Franklin counties and the North Quabbin area of Worcester County. Medical insurance and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health cover services.
